Under Victoria's Small Second Dwelling (SSD) provisions, a secondary dwelling must have a gross floor area of 60sqm or less, including any verandah. Elpor can design a custom granny flat within this limit to maximise the available space on your block. If your project requires a larger footprint, a planning permit may be required and our team can advise you on the applicable process.
Once the design and permit process is complete, onsite construction typically takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks from when we start on site through to handover. The design and permit stage varies depending on the complexity of your requirements and your local council.
